The Youth Social Action Group
We are dedicated to creating supportive, effective and engaging programmes for young people. We are lucky enough to have a Youth Social Action Group who provide us with a real insight into life as a young person. The group meets with a senior lead from The Apex Project frequently to discuss issues, solutions, programmes, events and any other ideas they have that will support young people.
Meet the Y.S.A.G leaders
My name is Sedem Hamenya, I am an aspiring footballer currently at a semi professional football club with an ambition to reach the highest level of the sport. I am part of Y.S.A.G because I believe that as a young person, I can speak on my experiences of dealing with the many challenges we face and more importantly share my thoughts on the solutions. I believe our voices must be heard.
Sedem - 16yrs
My name is Calliah-Raine and I’m currently studying A levels. I am part of Y.S.A.G because I think that it’s important that young people’s voices are heard, not just through adults, who commonly assume they can solve problems that young people face. Sometimes adults identify what they believe to be the ‘best’ ways to deal with youth related problems without any real experience or insight as to what it is to be a young person today.
